Marine Debris in the Environment

Although we are our own 501 (c)3 non profit, we are also an organization of individuals that care about our community.

Last December the band and chorus program hosted Pasta and Performance in which greeting cards were prepared for soldiers.  In February, at the Edison parade staging area, additional cards were available for sending to our soldiers.

These packages of cards were supplemented with Girl Scout cookies, scarves, socks, snacks, dvds and other items on the soldier's wish list.

May 2019 we received an email of thanks from soldiers showing them enjoying the cards and snacks we sent.

Because the soldiers are out to sea, they were unable to communicate with us until they made landfall. The photos were sent from our "Adopt a Soldier" MMC (SW/AW) Martinez, Juan.  (Martinez is a Machinist's Mate Chief Petty Officer and  both an Aviation Warfare Specialist and Surface Warfare Specialist.)

Thank you to everyone in the community who supported this endeavor.

Here are some photos of the cards being created and signed!     We gladly support Juan and his platoon by providing them with necessities and greeting cards.

Financial contributions made for this project, go towards a Project Frontline shipment. Project Frontline is a one time shipment to our military working on the "front lines". We fill it with lots of goodies and follow the guidelines set forth.

Thank you for thinking of others during this busy time of year.
