First step: Sign up for Charms
Charms can be used on your computer or smart phone. It is an important communication tool. Establishing your student's account allows you to receive email updates, volunteer opportunities and financial information.
Join the Band App (also available online at https://band.us/en)
Figure out which program(s) your student wants to participate in (everyone performs at concerts but some have more "gigs"):
Marching Band (after school + football games)
Dance (class + some after school + MBand)
Color Guard (class + some after sch. + MBand)
Jazz Band(s) (auditions + class + performances)
Wind Ensemble (auditions + class+ performances)
Concert Band (class)
Percussion (auditions + class + after school + performances + Indoor Drumline opportunity)
Third step: Logistics
Marching band will have after school practices and Friday night football games. You will need to supply transportation to and from school when it is not provided from the district.
Many groups have additional practices after school including dance, color guard, drumline and more.
There are costs associated with participation in the program. However, fundraising opportunities are available. If your student earns "fair share" (to be explained further later on this page), you can have zero out of pocket costs. You will learn about these opportunities in Charms.
As a participant parent, guardian or interested person, you can become a member of the Greenwave Band Boosters, Inc., a 501 (c) 3 that supports the program by paying for instructors, repairing equipment, organizing volunteers and much more.

Band Camp is MANDATORY
Week #1-Monday, July 26th-Friday, July 30th 9:00am to 5:00pm
Week #2-Monday, August 2nd-Friday, August 6th 6:00pm to 9:00pm
